Tuesday 18th - Nothing but sunshine and blue skies all around. On Ithaca it seems, winter has been taken over by Spring. Amazing weather!
Wednesday 19th - The weather is forecast to change over the weekend with temps dropping as northerly winds bring down the chill, so we better enjoy the sunshine while we can. Right - View from Kolieri across to Vasiliki on Lefkas Island. Below - View to Exoghi from Platrithias.

Sunday 16th continued - As there's not much to tell at this time of year, let's let the photos tell the story of Winter Ithaca. Left - The road to Hani (Chani)

Left - Lazareto isle set in the bay of Vathy. Lazareto has been a prison, a lepper colony and now a place many newly weds wish to tie the Orthodox knot. It has also been a place where some special presentations have taken place.
Above Left - Aetos Bay. Left - Stavros locals head for the big smoke, the cinema in Vathy, for a kiddy special movie about a wolf. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Below - The road into Stavros. Not always looking its best.
Left - View from Stavros down to Frikes Bay and across to the Mainland. Below Left - View from Stavros toward Platrithias with the peaks of Lefkada in the distance.
Left - View from Taxiarchis across to Kolieri, a friendly neighbourhood that has just recently become home to some great holiday rental villas and apartments such as Afales Villa Apartments. Up until a couple of years ago, there were no places for visitors to rent in this area.
Below - Laertes Farm Vegetable Market in Stavros is getting a new roof. Everyone loves the Vegie Markets traditional premises and that's not about to change, but a new roof is better than a leaky roof. Below below Left - Andriano keeps an eye on the process. His is one of the faces you'll see when shopping at Laertes Farm. Below below Right - There is more to Kioni than the bayside. The hillsides of Kioni are traditional neighbourhoods.
