Burnt Thursday Thursday 3rd March 2016

The rain held off for Burnt Thursday (Tsiknopempti) in Kioni, and although it was a bit chilly and grey, there was lots of good cheer to be had, food, wine and drinks supplied by the village.

Kioni Tsiknopempti isn't just for Kionites, but for whoever ventures into the village, locals and visitors alike, northerners or southerners. Always a great day no matter what the weather.

The old school in Kioni always makes a great venue for a traditional affair like Tsiknopempti.

The food and drink just kept coming - Souvlaki, lamb, port, sausages, potatoes and salads made by the community.
