Anoghi Panighiri - Panaghias - Annual festival on Ithaca Greece

In the low lands the temperature was around 30C in Anoghi it had already dropped to 24C before midnight. A perfect temperature for revving up on the dance floor at the Anoghi Panighiri for the 2019 Summer Season. Not as attended as other years, but what alot of fun. The dance circle under the old bell tower, was never empty.

Ithaca's Panaghiri band, Mnistires, satisfied all the movement and aural desires of both visitors and locals alike, playing all the favourites that are customary at a Panighiri. The atmosphere was fantastic, even electric at times. The Cafenion, run by Sofia, at the center of the square added a traditional flavour.
