Papoulaki 2016 Ithaca own Saint. Ithaca Greece

After a week of chilly winds, rain and storms, the day for Papoulaki was absolutely perfect, as if the saint himself had arranged it to be so. Lots of sunshine and blue sky with a comfortable warmth enveloping us all.

Papoulaki has become a huge occasion for the island with many important clergy coming to take the liturgy for Ithaki's own saint, Papoulaki, who helped the poor and has since been in the hearts of the locals of the island.
