Tuesday 1st
With May Day/labour Day today we unfortunately have to put up with a ferry strike, leaving some visitors stranded or having to leave early.
Thursday 2nd - It's ithacagreece.com's birthday today. Sweet 16!We've been online since 2003 and have kept an archive of Ithaki since then, you can walk down memory lane by clicking on 'New' archives at top right under May on Ithaca (it's orange, you can't miss it).
We advertise so many of the accommodations on the island, plus have a trustworthy catalogue of properties for sale. We check everything with a laywer and engineer before we accept them to list. We are the only ones to go to that trouble before there's a buyer found and would rather pay for services that make it safe for the buyer than risk a bad sale (of which we've had none, I'm happy to say). Anyway, besides Real Estate and Accommodations, we also advertise restaurants and some of the businesses on Ithaca. We want to thank our loyal sponsors for sticking with us all these years. We truly appreciate it. Please support them. For the rest you'll find here, ie images, news and events, it's my time which i have enjoyed giving and hope to continue to give. Some of you will know I've had some hard times trying to keep the site going under jealous or just nasty acts, but I'm still here. YES!!!!!! Friday 3rd - Below - Vathy fisherman bringing in his catch.
Monday 6th - Before the dust storm and wind, we had some nice weather. It will come back, but not until the winds from the Sahara make Ithaca mud.
Tuesday 7th - It's been a bit overcast, windy and dusty the past few days, but clearer skies are on the way.
Thursday 9th - We're rushing through this month as we approach Summer 2019 head on. We think it's going to be a huge season this year.
Friday 10th - Perahori is a village not too many venture to, but it has some of the most stunning views across southern Ithaca that you will ever see. Truly amazing.
Saturday 11th - Yesterday was Ag. Nikola celebration at Mavrona in the Ag. Nikolas chapel. Check back soon for some pics, but before then, enjoy some sights of Ithaca Greece.

Summer on Ithaca Greece
Tuesday 1st
On ithacagreece.com we start summer in May. So this really is the best place to be. You get an extra month of the best time of the year.
Thursday 2nd - Happy Birthday to US!
Friday 3rd - Below - Head along to the Vathy cinema for a documentary on oil and petrol and what Greece is in for if the country goes forward with deep sea drilling and fracking in the Ionian.
After the documentary, there will be refreshments and discussion so please head along to support those fighting to keep the Ionian pristine.

Tuesday 7th - The Day Trippers
Thursday 9th - Spring flowers are everywhere. For a feast, head up to Exoghi. This village explodes in colour at this time of the year.
