What's New On Ithaca Greece
February 2023
| Wednesday 1st - Hello February and congratulations to all born on the 29th for missing another year of getting older. We've had some ever changing weather with wind and storms followed by sunshine and blue skies. When it gets wild however, it gets wild in some stunning ways.
| Thursday 2nd - Last night was the celebration of YPapandis in Kioni. The religious celebration of how the icon of the Virgin Mary arrived in Kioni. The who's who of important clergy from around Greece came to Kioni to give the sermon. Click Here or on photo below for more pics.
| Friday 3rd - Some bad and fine weather on the way. High winds expected, but there seems also to be alot of sunshine today. Tomorrow, rain. Almond blossoms are out and that always seems to pepper the air with a touch of Spring.
| Sunday 5th - Not much to say. It's chilly and windy, but with sunny breaks.
| Monday 6th - While Athens is under snow, Ithaca is forecast for mostly sunny. Chilly, but sunny.

| Thursday 9th - A bit of sun a bit of cloud and temps are forecast to increase a bit as we continue into next week. Below - Exoghi.
| Saturday 11th - Alot coming up over the next few weeks with Burnt Thursday celebrations next week, then Carnival in Vathy and Clean Monday around the Island. There'll be a few parties going on too.

Winter time on Ithaki
Wednesday 1st
When those dark winter skies clear the views become so crisp and clear. Pristine and stunningly beautiful. So great to see people out and about. The life of the island is the local community.

| Thursday 9th - When skies are blue in winter, the views are so clear.
| Saturday 11th - It won't be long until the island is back to life again after a not so long hibernation over the winter.
