December 2022
Thursday 1st - Kalo Mina to everyone. Below - In the back of Kioni you'll find some lush natural views.
Above - Stavros with views down to Polis Bay and Kefalonia beyond.
Saturday 3rd - It's been cold and raining for the past couple of days. It will be nice to get some sunshine again. Below - A rather wet Vathy.

Sunday 4th - More thunderstorms on the horizon, or so says the weather bureau. Let's hope for more sunshine soon.
Wednesday 7th - Looks like this week it's raining most of the time. We may see a break of sunshine on a rare occasion, but rain and thunderstorms about for Ithaki.
The good thing about rain is that it replenishes the islands eco system and keeps it lush and green. We may not have an abundance of autumninal colours this time of year, but we rich in evergreens and lush valleys and mountains.
Friday 9th - Suddenly a rise in temps again with a beautiful 19C forecast for today. Finally some more sunshine in out sometimes blue and cloudy skies. Below - Stavros.

Monday 12th - Some wild and furious weather these past days. Yesterday, the ferry from Patras didn't leave due to high winds, luckily by lunchtime the winds had died down some for the Astakos ferry to do it's route.

Winter on Ithaca Greece
Thursday 1st
Maybe due to the forecast bad weather
Saturday 3rd - As we head deeper into winter, the umbrella will be one of our best friends.
It's increasingly quiet in the streets around Ithaca as we start December. Hibernation.
Sunday 4th - Not much happening around the island at the moment, especially with the weather being so restrictive.
Wednesday 7th - A perfect time to hibernate on the island. With rain forecast all week, light the fires and relax.
Friday 9th - A great day to be on Ithaca.
