What's New On Ithaca Greece
April 2024
Monday 1st - Kalo Mina to everyone. Spring is here!! So is Daylight Saving.
Wednesday 3rd - While some parts of the Mainland already have July weather, on Ithaca a lovely Spring temperature of around 18C with some cloud. It will be warming up as the week progresses.
Saturday 6th - I don't think that anyone who has gone through Kioni and definitely those who have stayed in Kioni, wouldn't have wondered into Spavento Bar curing their stay. George's memorabilia is fun to look through. There's a story behind each piece.
Sunday 7th - Already through the first week of April and the weather is very fine.
Monday 8th - Below - In and around Anoghi it's almost like you're on a different island. The landscape in the area and beyond to Kathara, is rugged and untamed especially in Summer, but through winter the dry scapes turn green with lush lawns spawned by the rainy clouds which embrace the mountain tops there most of the season.
Tuesday 9th - The yachts are back in the harbours. Sailing begins the 2024 season.
Wednesday 10th - Perfect Spring days right now. Blue skies, calm, warm, but not too warm. More and more people showing up in the streets, more and more locals venturing out after winter or returning back to the island after their winter stay on the Mainland. Sunday 14th - Happy Sunday all. Already half way through April. Unusually warm weather though. Feels like Summer already.

Spring on Ithaca Greece
Monday 1st
This year we say goodbye to Avra Restaurant in Kioni. It's been such a Kioni icon for decades. Before Kosta and Dimitris, their parents ran it. We wish them all the best. I'm sure they will be missed on the waterfront, but no doubt you'll see them hanging around the village relaxing and taking in the sights.
Wednesday 3rd - What a great time of the year for nature lovers. Spring flowers everywhere and when the sky is blue, it's REALLY blue..
Saturday 6th - The warmer weather is now starting to bring people out of their winter hibernation, and with yachts beginning to come into the harbours, soon we'll be mid season again, enjoying sun and sea.

Monday 8th - Spring is truly with us now. Just brilliant.

Wednesday 10th - Below - Afrodite from Kanenas Restaurant in Stavros giving some information to the travels arriving on a bus tour from Kefalonia.
